A pedestrian may have been seriously injured after an accident in Truro.
At 9:55 am the rescue workers were called locally.
The pedestrian is treated by paramedics.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
A spokesman for the Devon and Cornwall Police said, "After a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Tresawls Road near the Royal Cornwall Hospital, there are currently emergency services on the ground.
"Local closures are present and it is believed that the pedestrian has suffered serious injuries. Road users are asked to find alternative routes for the foreseeable future. "
There are reports of slow traffic in the region.
