Recall of spaghetti and poutine sauces

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food warns against consuming spaghetti sauce and poutine sauce, sold in the Center-du-Quebec region.

As a precautionary measure, the operator Restaurant Chez Mike in Richmond, Estrie, has recalled these products which were on sale until Wednesday in establishments in the region.

This is an independent restaurant that is not linked to the Always Mike’s chain belonging to the MTY Group.

The offending products sold at room temperature were packaged in 1 liter and 500 cl white plastic jars with an “original Warwick” mention.

The public is advised not to consume these products and to return them to the establishment where they were purchased or to discard them.

“Even if the products concerned do not show any sign of spoilage or a suspicious odor, consuming them may represent a risk to health,” said the ministry, specifying that no case of illness associated with the consumption of these foods has not been reported.
