The Washington Redskins will not have three major offensives on Sunday when hosting the Atlanta Falcons.
Pro Bowl fight against Trent Williams (thumb / shoulder), wide receiver Jamison Crowder (ankle) and all-purpose racing Chris Thompson (rib) will miss the game on Sunday.
Williams had surgery on his right thumb in Pittsburgh on Thursday. His status after this week is uncertain. Ty Nsekhe starts in the left tackle.
Crowder will miss a fourth game in a row, in which the ankle is still not right, but at least not ridden through the team facilities with a medical scooter. Maurice Harris has taken off with Crowder.
Thompson missed two games for a rib injury, but returned for Washington's 20:13 victory over the New York Giants. However, he got another big hit and suffered a new rib injury that will endure him this week. Starter Adrian Peterson was more active in passing downs when Thompson is not there and Kapri Bibbs is the backup.
Wide receiver Paul Richardson (shoulder / knee), safety Montae Nicholson (neck / hip), linebacker Ryan Anderson (knee) and Bibbs (shoulder) are all questionable. All four were limited in practice on Friday. The Redskins have high insurance for Nicholson in Pro Bowl safety, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who was picked up from Green Bay for a fourth round at the week's close.
Richardson missed Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, but returned to the Giants game last week.
"We have to watch closely, like [the knee is] to influence him, "said Washington coach Jay Gruden. "If he feels he's 100 percent and can run at full speed, we'll get him out. If not, we have to make a decision on Sunday. "
Gruden said that Richardson's shoulder "might need to be considered after the season", but Richardson "made it".
"He Is hard. He's fighting it, "he said. "I think he's a day by day, week by week. I appreciate his work and his determination to go out there. "
Mercury's Dunbar (shin) on Cornerback is fully practiced on Thursday and Friday and is available. A nervous problem had forced him to miss the last two games.
The Falcons bring quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receivers Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu one of the best pass attacks in the league. Your passport suspicion is with 317.7 yards per game in 3rd place in the league.
The Redskins Guard Shawn Lauvao and Peterson both practiced Friday completely and did not receive any injury marking on Sunday.
The Falcons will manage without cornerback Robert Alford (ankle) and kicker Matt Bryant (right thigh). Sanu (hip) was limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday – and did not practice Thursday – but received no injury rating on Sunday.
