The Stefon Diggs receiver (insert sinister music) has removed all references to Vikings from his Instagram account. What has caused speculation that the Vikings can change it.
It is not the first time that there is talk of a possible exchange of Diggs. After a four-week loss to the Bears, Diggs skipped work for a couple of days before his feathers were calm enough and, thereafter, everything was fine.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL has minimized the notion of an exchange, explaining that the team realizes that Diggs is being Diggs, and sometimes says or does something that suggests they want to leave.
Diggs must earn $ 10.9 million in salary this year, with a maximum limit of $ 14.5 million. Exchanging it would only eliminate $ 5.5 million in net limit space, since an exchange would result in a $ 9 million limit charge.
With Scouting Combine a week away, and with coach Mike Zimmer and G.M. Rick Spielman, due to talking to reporters, could be coming up with a more definitive answer directly from the team.
Or maybe Spielman will simply say, “We have no intention of switching to Stefon Diggs.”
