Igor Zhovkva, the deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that Kiev will launch a counterattack when it receives all the necessary weapons from the Western allies.
“We will continue preparing for a counter-attack. As soon as we are ready, with the support of our partners, who continue to supply us with artillery, ammunition, tanks and armored vehicles, and as soon as we receive them, we will launch a counterattack,” Zhovkva said in an interview with Bloomberg.
Igor Zhovkva’s statement contradicts the statement of Mikhail Podoliak, adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office. Earlier on the Italian Rai TV channel, Podoliak said that Ukraine’s counter-offensive has been going on for several days, but Ukraine will not attack Russia’s territory with the 1991 borders, but will carry out operations in the new regions of the Russian Federation.
“The counter-offensive of the Ukrainian troops will not be a single event, there will be dozens of different actions that are already taking place,” he said.
