Residents Thwart Arrest of Fugitive Drugs, BNN Officials in Diamuk Regency

DELI SERDANG, KOMPAS.TV – The efforts of the Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Deli Serdang to catch fugitives ran aground. The reason is, the residents went berserk when officers made arrests of fugitive drugs.

In fact, BNNK has succeeded in capturing the fugitive drugs at his residence, Rugemuk Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

However, there were residents who provoked the arrest. As a result, the residents were emotional and the BNNK officers raged until they were black and blue. Even the cars used for the arrests were overthrown and damaged by the residents.

The captured drug fugitives managed to escape.

Head of the Deli Serdang Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Firdaus, when confirmed, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Wednesday (5/8/2020).

“The officers were beaten and injured,” said Firdaus, as quoted by Kompas.com, Thursday (6/8/2020).

Deli Serdang Police came to the location after receiving the report.
