Rhone. Near Lyon: drunk and armed with a cutter, he shouts “to be Daesh”

A man who proclaims “I am Daesh”, while showing off a cutter in his hand. This is what we could see and hear this Thursday, July 28 at the end of the afternoon in Tignieu-Jameyzieu, according to information from our colleagues from Dauphiné Libéré.

Incoherent remarks

Worried passers-by contacted the gendarmes, reporting the presence of this individual with threatening behavior, who seemed to wander between Place du Dauphiné, the village college and the skatepark. Quickly on the spot, the police found the man, equipped with a backpack. He is immediately arrested, while he continues to make incoherent remarks.

Alcoholic, the man was a 52-year-old homeless man, brought back to the premises of the Pont-de-Chéruy brigade. He was placed in police custody there for manifest drunkenness, insults and carrying a weapon. He was released on Friday July 29, and will soon have to explain himself to justice.
