The Zénith Saint-Petersburg has separated from the former pivot of BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque and JDA Dijon Richard Solomon.

Due to recent poor results, the Zenith Saint-Petersburg is cleaning up its workforce. The last departure is that of Richard Solomon (2.10 m), pivot seen at BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque and JDA Dijon in the past. The 30-year-old therefore leaves Russia seven months after his arrival. Winner of the 2020 Leaders Cup with the Burgundy club, he had time to add the Russian Supercoup to his list.

Born in Los Angeles, Solomon has traveled a lot and in particular had two experiences in the French championship, in 2016-2017 the BCM Gravelines Dunkerque then at the JDA Dijon for the 2019-2020 season. Since then, Richard Solomon has returned to Japan with Toyama Grouses before playing a second time in Turkey at Bahcesehir. This season was his first experience in Russia. Despite Thomas Heurtel’s caviars, he was shooting at 7.9 points on 56% shooting success, 6.3 rebounds and 0.8 against in 21 minutes per game.
