According to a report, there is an oral agreement between Robert Lewandowski’s agent and FC Barcelona. A Bundesliga striker could come as a successor.
Munich – It is and remains turbulent around Robert Lewandowski (33). The striker’s contract expires in 2023, he should look for a new challenge and refuse an extension. FC Bayern would have to sell the Poles in the summer to collect a fee. Then the game against Wolfsburg on Saturday might be his last in the red jersey.
But President Herbert Hainer put a stop to such considerations – and spoke a word of power. “Robert Lewandowski has a contract with FC Bayern until June 30, 2023. And he will fulfill it,” said the 67-year-old to tz. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn had already said that they expected Lewandowski to remain in the coming season.
Does that mean that all Lewandowski speculation has fallen silent? Of course not. They continue to gain momentum in various respects. As far as a summer departure is concerned and as far as possible successor candidates are concerned.
FC Bayern: Farewell to Lewandowski in the summer? Apparently agreement with FC Barcelona
As Sport1 now writes that there is already a verbal agreement between FC Barcelona and Lewandowski advisor Pini Zahavi about a move to the Catalans. Although they are no longer on a bed of roses financially, according to the report, Lewandowski could afford the entire package. Before negotiating, the record champions would have to be ready – and it doesn’t look like it at the moment.
However, it would be foolish if Bayern did not try to find successor candidates. Even if Lewandowski is still a season in Munich, the view is also in the distant future. This is where several attackers come into play after Erling Haaland is out of the race: There is said to have been a secret meeting in Mallorca about Sadio Mané (30) from Liverpool FC. That reports the Bild.
FC Bayern is examining the market for Lewandowski’s successor: is Sasa Kalajdzic coming from VfB?
And another name, which is not wafting through Munich for the first time, is now more concrete in the game: that of Sasa Kalajzdic (24). The two-meter giant is tied to VfB Stuttgart until 2023. And would not only be a man for Bayern for Dietmar Hamann. But supposedly also for those responsible for the record champions: The Bild writes that Bayern have already registered their interest with the Austrian’s management. A fee of 20 million euros is in the room.
But can Kalajdzic really replace Lewandowski? That is questionable. the Bild is still speculating about a number of other candidates that could come into play – from André Silva (RB Leipzig) to much less likely names like Patrik Schick (Bayer Leverkusen), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Timo Werner (FC Chelsea) or even Harry Kane (Tottenham).
