RGranny is ready to offer Maurizio Sarri an escape route from Chelsea, after former blues coach Antonio Conte had turned down an offer from the Italian club.
Conte was the first choice for Roma, who succeeded Claudio Ranieri this summer, but the 49-year-old declined her approach to waiting for a better deal.
Sarri is in second place on the Roma list and sources in Italy believe the 60-year-old would be open to return to his homeland.
A Roma approach would also save Chelsea a tricky decision over her coach, who has managed to bring the club back to the Champions League but is unpopular with a large proportion of fans.
Large groups of Chelsea fans have sung against Sarri and his style of football this season, and it was significant that he did not participate in the traditional "round of appreciation" at the end of the last Premier League home against Watford.
