English Ruark Audio has long been among the best at making good-sounding radios. This one is hardly an exception. The radio, which also has built-in Bluetooth, is the fourth edition. With even better sound, Alan O’Rourke is to be believed, who believes that an R2 radio is the perfect companion for your morning coffee. Or the teacup for that matter.
The radio itself does not have a large footprint, and fits nicely in the kitchen, where you can listen to the radio via FM or DAB+, and stream from Spotify or another streaming service, whenever you want.
It can be controlled with a remote control, or from the UNDOK app which also gives you sound settings, and you can see what is playing on the color screen. The radio is delivered in a dark variant called espresso with a speaker grill in walnut, or in a lighter version with a grill in ash.
It also has an audio input, USB charging with playback supportng over USB, and headphone output.
The R2 radio measures 34 x 18.5 x 15 cm and is priced at DKK 6,490.
