Moscow. Russia has promised to continue supplying fertilizers to Brazil. The Kremlin announced on Monday in Moscow that its obligations would be met after Vladimir Putin had called his Brazilian counterpart Jair Bolsonaro. With a view to the threat to food security in the world, Moscow once again demanded that Western sanctions be lifted so that Russia could export fertilizer and food. According to the Kremlin, Putin confirmed during the talks with Bolsonaro that he would “consistently strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries”. Energy and agriculture were mentioned as examples of intensified cooperation. Brazil will take over the presidency of the UN Security Council on July 1. (dpa/jW)
