Russian scientists have found that sleep hormone will help in the fight against cancer

Scientists from the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Biophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences have established that melatonin gives an additional effect to preparations based on vitamin A and its analogues, and also reduces their toxicity.
Due to the fact that not so long ago, the properties of melatonin (sleep hormone) were found to neutralize cancer cell structures, it was decided to conduct an experiment whether it can be combined with retinoic acid, which is used in the treatment of leukemia and which can cause serious side effects in the form of shortness of breath edema and high fever.
Biologists mixed the acid with melatonin, while reducing the dose first, and injected into the environment of cancer cells derived from a malignant tumor of a patient who died of cancer of the blood. As a result, the combination of melatonin and retinoic acid in the combination of 100 thousand 1 gave an excellent result: the number of tumor cells decreased by 70 percent, and dividing cells – by 64.
The main source, as well as the consumer, of melatonin is the brain. The hormone is responsible not only for sleep and awakening, but also slows down aging, strengthens muscle growth and, as it turned out, has anti-cancer properties.
