Sabine Back murder case: decision on charges could be made in the fall

Chief Public Prosecutor Thorsten Seebach and the murder investigators of the Würzburg police still deal with an old case: almost 28 years after the violent death of the then 13-year-old Sabine Back in Wiesenfeld, a district of Karlstadt (Lkr.Main-Spessart), is still not clear: was the girl killed by two men she knew? In order to obtain a conviction, the men, who are now 54 and 44 years old, would have to be proven to have committed murder. All other offenses would now be statute-barred.
