Safe Passenger Operation “Plan Three” is carried out in Edoméx

The Secretariat of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM), in coordination with the three branches of government, carried out the operation Safe Passenger “Plan Three”, with the objective of safeguarding the physical and patrimonial integrity of the users of public transport in the entity.

The operation was carried out in the main Mexican roads, and its position was concentrated in those with the highest incidence of both passengers and robberies.

It should be noted that the State of Mexico is one of the national entities that has the most reports of theft in public transport, since so far in 2021, the investigation folders on this crime have increased 50 percent.

The foregoing, in relation to the reports of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNP), which argue that in the last nine months there have been 2,836 assaults with the use of force, this figure represents 42.2 percent of the crimes registered in the country.

For their part, last January the authorities had a record of 244 investigation folders for this type of crime, so that, from the first month of 2021 to last September, an increase of more than 50 percent of the incidence was observed.

In this sense, during the period that includes From April 26 to November 5, the SSEM, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and the municipal police, have achieved the arrest of 392 people possibly involved in the crime .

Meanwhile, 10,821 operations have been executed, which translates to an average of 56 per day; 86 thousand units were reviewed and around one thousand and fifty people inspected in a preventive manner and with all the action protocols of the indicated law.

Likewise, the SSEM, for these efforts, has a force of 600 troops supported by 150 units.

The agency carried out intelligence work on the following priority routes: via López Portillo (Tultitlán-Coacalco); deep River (Naucalpan de Juárez); Short way to Morelia (Nicolás Romero); Mario Colín-Jesús Reyes Heroles (Tlalnepantla de Baz); the Mexico-Pachuca (Ecatepec de Morelos); the avenue of the teachers (Atizapán-Tlalnepantla) and the Nicolás Romero -Atizapán highway (Nicolás Romero); however, operational deployments are extensive throughout the Mexican territory.

In addition, the SS made emergency numbers available 089 and 911, who work 24 hours a day, at the service of the citizenry, despite the incidents that may occur with the elements of this institution of justice.
