The blood donation goes to Saint-Affrique.

The blood drive will take place on Tuesday, June 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Thursday 1is July, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Saint-Affrique village hall. Daf Caricaturist will sketch the portrait of those who wish it. Donors are expected in number.

« Blood reserves have fallen sharply since early May, due to public holidays and lower attendance at blood drives, impacted by deconfinement, alerts the French Blood Establishment (EFS). This situation continues despite a strong campaign. It is essential that donors take action now to raise the level of reserve. »

Who can donate blood?

It is recommended not to come on an empty stomach and to drink well before and after donation.

The main conditions for donating blood are: to be in good health, to be between 18 and 70 years old, to weigh more than 50 kilos and not to have been transfused.

In the following cases, donations should be deferred by:

– 24 hours after a caries or scaling treatment;

– 7 days at the end of an antibiotic treatment;

– 14 days after an infectious episode;

– 4 months after an endoscopy, a piercing or a tattoo;

– 4 months after a trip to a country where malaria is rife;

– 6 months after childbirth.

No postponement delay after anti-covid vaccination.
