Solopos.com, KLATEN — Bugisan Village, Prambanan District, is included in the list of the top 50 best tourist villages in Indonesia. The total number of tourist villages in the country that participated in tourism village participants at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy reached 3,500 villages.
For this achievement, Bugisan Village, Prambanan District was visited by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, Friday (1/7/2022). Sandiaga’s visit to Bugisan was related to the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI).

During the visit, Sandiaga had time to stop by Plaosan Temple in Bugisan. Plaosan Temple in Bugisan has become a magnet for tourists to come.
After the visit, Sandiaga then headed to the eastern square of Plaosan Temple to listen to the explanation from the Bugisan village head, Heru Nugroho. This was followed by watching the activities of fighting over the mountains of the earth’s products.
The group then headed to Paseban, the Twin Temples to witness the Jaranan art attractions. The Sandiaga Uno group also watched and played music typical of the Bugisan Tourism Village Pring Sedapur. In addition, Sandiaga visited and had a dialogue with MSME actors in Bugisan, one of which was batik ecoprint.

“Ada storynomics about a love story,” said Sandiaga.
Bugisan is part of the ecosystem of the Borobudur super destination. He hopes that Borobudur visitors can visit the Bugisan Village area with the charm of Plaosan Temple and various tourist destinations developed in Bugisan Village.
“I see Bugisan as a pilot cluster for the creation of 1.1 million new, quality, community-based jobs in the village. So that the community’s strength to bounce back after the pandemic can be realized,” said Sandiaga.

The regent of Klaten, Sri Mulyani, said Bugisan had something different from other villages. One of them is the Plaosan Temple, which is often nicknamed the Twin Temples and is said to be second to none in Indonesia.
He hopes that the arrival of the Menparekraf will spur the spirit of developing other tourist villages in Bersinar Regency.
“Besides Bugisan, there are many other tourist villages in Klaten, such as water tourism and become one of the leading tours in Klaten,” said Mulyani.
