Peruvian donation association organizes massive event that seeks to collect 750 units of blood.
Por ti mi sangre, a non-profit association that has been promoting the culture of voluntary blood donation for more than 8 years, is organizing Salvatón 2022, a voluntary donation event that will take place simultaneously in five districts of Lima.
The massive event will favor the blood banks of the E. Rebagliati Hospital, G. Almenara Hospital, Santa Rosa Hospital, Lima Maternity, National Children’s Institute – San Borja, INCOR and Tezza Clinic.
“With this great campaign we seek to continue promoting voluntary blood donation, as a simple process that involves very little time and that can change the lives of many people,” says Diana Bringas, general coordinator of the association Por ti mi sangre.
“At each point of the Salvatón we will have an allied blood bank, whose staff will be responsible for evaluating the donor and drawing the blood,” adds Bringas.
This Salvatón will be held on Saturday June 25 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at 5 points in the capital: Megaplaza (Independencia), Plaza San Miguel (San Miguel), Pedro Ruiz Gallo Park (Lince), La Rambla (San Borja) and Friendship Park (Surco).
The Association of Journalists of Lima has joined this social initiative because thousands of people in our country need a blood transfusion to continue living.
For this reason, the Order calls on journalists and communicators, as well as the general public, to approach the following donation points in Lima:
- Megaplaza, Independence, (Av. Alfredo Mendiola)
- Plaza San Miguel, San Miguel, (Next to Coney Park)
- Pedro Ruiz Gallo Park, Lince, (Francisco Lazo Avenue)
- La Rambla, San Borja, (In front of BBVA)
- Friendship Park, Surco, (Av. Caminos del Inca)
