Samsung wants to compete with Spotify and launches Samsung Podcasts

Samsung Podcasts thus offers users of Galaxy smartphones and tablets quick and easy access to their favorite podcasts. The most recent devices will be equipped with a “Listen” tab for this, while, on models prior to 2021, it will be possible to access it by simply swiping the screen to the right. The Korean manufacturer is thus putting a toe in the music streaming sector and comes in particular to compete with Spotify which for its part announced the extension of its podcast monetization solution to France.

For this service, Samsung has mainly partnered with Acast, one of the most prominent podcast platforms, as well as other partners, including Slate.fr, Choses à Savoir, Prisma Media, Louie Media, Binge Audio, Nouvelles Listenings , Paradiso Media and Bababam. According to Jérôme Bloch, Marketing and Strategy Director of the Mobile Division of Samsung France: “Access to a wide variety of podcasts allows our Galaxy smartphones and tablets to respond to the strong annual growth in the use of this content in France. “

The offer, which was already available in the United States, will allow Samsung Galaxy users to find their favorite podcasts in one click, personalize their playlists, create alerts or even add feeds to subscribe to them.
