Schools closed from this Wednesday, here are the explanations of the Minister of Education

The decision was announced early Tuesday evening. In a statement to the MBC, the Minister of Education announces that the classes will not be face-to-face from Wednesday, November 10, 2021. They will be online and will be available on the four MBC channels from Thursday 11 November. This is what emerges from a post on the Government Information Service (GIS) Facebook page.

This decision applies to pre-primary, primary, secondary as well as tertiary institutions. It was taken due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the community. According to the authorities, 1,856 cases linked to
Covid-19 have been identified in primary, secondary and tertiary schools since October 18 to date.
