“Electric bicycles and skateboards have become one of the most important means of transportation for Colombians, who find the possibility of moving quickly to their jobs and homes, which is why we have designed tailored insurance to protect them. against theft and accidents, in addition to allowing them the possibility of having a variety of service ecosystems with applications for exercise and telemedicine, among others, that can be used during the validity of the protection”, assured Jaime Alberto Upegui, president of Scotiabank Colpatria.

Regarding rates, the entity reported that the basic plan is $20,900 per month and has coverage for qualified theft (up to $1.6 million), total accidental damage (up to $1.6 million), extra-contractual civil liability for damage to a third party ( up to $3 million), accidental fracture (broken bone) up to $900,000; temporary disability due to accident and rent for hospitalization ($90,000 per day).

On the other hand, the plus plan of $31,900 has coverage for qualified theft (up to $2.8 million), total accidental damage (up to $2.8 million), non-contractual civil liability for damage to a third party (up to $5 million), accidental fracture (broken bone) up to $1 million; temporary disability due to accident (up to $1 million), income for hospitalization ($100,000 per day) and accidental death coverage for $15 million.

Finally, customers who wish to access the $51,900 monthly prime plan will be able to obtain coverage for qualified theft (up to $4.8 million), total accidental damage (up to $4.8 million), extra-contractual civil liability for damage to a third party (up to $7 millions); temporary disability due to accident (up to $1.5 million), income for hospitalization ($150,000 per day) and accidental death coverage for $20 million.
