The 53-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star has been on the jury since his first broadcast in 2004 and is known for his candid, direct and sometimes cutting reviews.
Not hesitating, he spoke the kiss between the 32-year-old comedian Seann and the Russian-born dancer Katya, 29, after pictures were taken last weekend.
"Personally, I think Katya was wrong," he told the Daily Mail. "She should have stopped because she is a professional dancer.
"It's their job not only to protect their own relationship, but also to protect the celebrities and be the mentor," said Craig.
"I think she broke the record because she should never have allowed it."
Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC and representatives of Seann and Katya for comments.
Seann and Katya were portrayed last week in London on the night of his girlfriend when she closed her lips.
Both stars then apologized on Twitter, Seann describing the incident as a "drunken mistake," as he wrote in the face of his 112,000 followers: "Given the story in today's newspaper, I sincerely apologize for what I did.
"That's no excuse, but it was a one-time drunken mistake that I'm really sorry for."
His current ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries later released a devastating statement after she hopefully parted ways with Strictly Come Dancing, telling her 30,000 Twitter followers she was "not a victim."
"I was home alone when Seann wrote at 10pm that they wanted to drink an innocent drink," she said.
"We spoke, and I did not tell him for the first time that his actions over the past three weeks have resulted in something inappropriate happening."
Katya told her 56,000 Twitter followers, "I'm so sorry I got injured or injured because of what I did, I did not think and it was a one time mistake after a few drinks.
"I love my husband and we are very happy together, that's not a reflection on our relationship," she added.
The dancer has been married since 2013 to his colleague Streng Pro Neil Jones (35).
The couple met for the first time in 2008, when Neil appeared for her regular partner at a dance competition in Blackpool.
Seann and Katya appeared in their first sister show "It Takes Two" earlier this week in their first interview after the kissing pictures were taken, with the professional addressing their marriage again.
"I apologize to everyone, it hurts and it has to do with it, but the main thing for me is that I and Neil are fine," she said.
"I focus on my job and make it as professional as I can."
Strictly Come Dancing will continue on BBC One at 18:40 this evening.
