Sears Holdings Corp. is limping into the critical holiday season after the struggling company reported that its quarterly sales have fallen 26% and continue to close dozens of deals.

Total revenue decreased more than $ 1 billion to $ 3.18 billion in the three months ending August 4, compared to a year earlier. Turnover excluding newly opened or closed stores decreased by 4.0% at Sears and by 3.7% at Kmart.
