After several rumors we finally have the official confirmation that Seat, in addition to cars, will have a motorcycle in its range, specifically an electric scooter that will be presented on November 19 at the Smart City World Congress of Barcelona.
This 100% electric scooter will be equivalent to one of 125 cc combustion, the most common since they can be driven with the car license, the B1. This proposal will in principle be born as an eScooter concept and at the moment its technical characteristics have not been advanced.
The first motorcycle arrives Seat
Aware of the importance that this type of vehicle is acquiring in the cities, for Luca de Meo, President of Seat it is essential that his brand participates. This is explained by the executive "he continued growth of big cities makes achieving efficient mobility one of the main challenges. Today, we take another step in our urban micromobility strategy confirming the first eScooter in the history of the brand ”.
This proposal will be presented in Barcelona since we are facing the European city with more motorcycles per inhabitant and with a broad tradition of mobility on two wheels. Therefore, Seat will develop this concept in collaboration with the Barcelona manufacturer of Silence electric motorcycles and will be marketed both for individuals and for shared fleets, something that the car brand already offers with the carsharing Respite.
