Selection of the 2022 Better Understanding Europe Book Prize

They are gone, or ready to go at least: the eight essays proposed for the selection of the Book Prize Better Understanding Europe will therefore do battle with the jurors. Before the award ceremony in the presence of the next Ministers of Culture and National Education, here are the titles in competition this year:

  • Geopolitics of Europe – 40 illustrated fact sheets to understand the world by Olivier de France (Eyrolles editions, in partnership with IRIS, 2021)
  • Governance, values ​​and symbols of Europe in the Initiation to civic education collection, by Serge Raynal and Jean-Paul Gillyboeuf (Saint-Honoré editions, June 2021)
  • Europe against Europe – Between freedom, solidarity and power by Laurent Warlouzet (Cnrs editions, January 2022)
  • On the road to Boa Vida un roman de Gwenola Floch Penn (L’Harmattan, 2021)
  • Ukraine, from independence to war by Alexandra Goujon (ed. Le Cavalier Bleu)

ActuaLitté, partner of the prize, will offer a chronicle of each essay in the selection in the coming weeks.

In 2021, the award saluted Victoria Martin de La Torre, for Europe, a leap into the unknown: The founders of the European Union (1948-1957)published by L’Harmattan editions.
