Senate is not planning any further easing

by archyw

BerlinThe number of corona cases in Berlin is rising again. The seven-day incidence in the capital is now 15.8. The value has doubled compared to last Monday. For this reason, too, the Berlin Senate will probably not decide any further easing of the corona measures in the session on Tuesday. The Berliner Zeitung learned this from government circles.

The good news: There are no plans to tighten the current Corona rules. The existing provisions, which were made two weeks ago by the Berlin Senate, remain: Contact restrictions both inside and outside are lifted. A medical mask is sufficient for shopping. Large events are possible both indoors and outdoors with a maximum number of people. The stadiums can be filled up to 50 percent for games in professional football. The upper limit of viewers is still 25,000. Clubs are allowed to open their outdoor areas for 1000 guests at the same time.

The second good news: The situation in the intensive care units continues to ease. Currently, only 3.8 percent of intensive care patients are Covid patients. Exactly a week ago the value was 4.3 percent. Even though the number of cases was lower a week ago.

What else is the Senate discussing at Tuesday’s session? It will be about an opinion on the people’s decision on expropriation.
