He said that the Authority relies on the implementation of an integrated strategy in solar lighting projects, especially in Shaabiyat, remote areas, For the feasibility of these economic projects and the preservation of the environment and provide the comfort and safety and the best services to citizens and residents through projects and initiatives are clear model to be followed and in line with the objectives and strategies of the rationalization document prepared by the Commission and adopted by the owner His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to be a road map towards the adoption of Sharjah as the first city to rationalize in the region by adopting a number of unique initiatives in the areas of reducing environmental impacts and energy conservation in various projects and services. He stressed that the Authority’s plan includes a strategic partnership with local and international companies to carry out studies on renewable energy projects and solar lighting projects in various regions in order to implement the best international systems in the field of solar lighting to suit the state of development witnessed by Sharjah in all its regions. . For his part, Micheline Thenbont, Events Manager of the Middle East Association for Solar Energy Industries (MESIA) praised the specialized studies carried out by the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority in the field of renewable energy and lighting of the solar areas, which contributes to the preservation of the environment and reduction of carbon emissions.
