Sharp Aquos R7 Announced, Horrible Specs!


Sharp just announced attendance Aquos R7. The specifications that this phone brings are horrifying.

Just look at the rear camera, the size is 47.2 MP but the sensor used is large. Sharp installed a 1-inch sensor which is claimed to be able to collect up to 1.8 times more light than the previous generation.

Sensors developed with Sharp and Leica features a seven-element Leica Summicron lens, an aperture of F/1.9, and a focal length of 19mm. Accompanying the main camera is a 1.9MP portrait sensor.

Aquos R7 carries a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,730 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Sharp provides a brightness level of 2,000 nits, 10bit, Dolby Vision support and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus glass.

The panel itself uses an IGZO OLED with a punch hole at the top which houses a 12.6 MP selfie camera, while at the bottom there is an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The kitchen is supported by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which is formulated with 12 GB of RAM. The internal memory has a capacity of 245 GB, while the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh.

This cellphone runs the Sharp UI based on Android 12. Aquos R7 has an IP68 certificate which means it is dust and water resistant.

Sharp provides Aquos R7 in black and silver. This cellphone will only be sold in Japan in July, unfortunately, prices and global availability have not been announced yet.
