Al-Marsad Newspaper: A member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Manea, explained that fasting in Makkah doubles the reward like prayer.
And he said during an interview with the “Fatwas” program broadcast on the “Saudi Arabia” channel: “It is proven from the Messenger, may blessings and peace be upon him, that he said that praying in the Sacred Mosque is equivalent to 100,000 prayers, so this is a great virtue.”
And he continued: “A group of people of knowledge, including Ibn al-Qayyim, talked about that good deeds are multiplied in Makkah just as prayer is multiplied, so fasting is multiplied, zakat is doubled, charity is doubled, and every good deed is doubled. God is His bounty, His grace, His richness, His abundant sustenance, and His ample forgiveness.
