Signal box malfunction: Problems in the morning S-Bahn traffic

Berlin –

If you travel by suburban train in Berlin, you have to be patient on several routes on Tuesday. After extensive road closures in the Ostkreuz area last weekend, traffic on Tuesday morning did not start as planned. Reason for the new problems is a signal box malfunction, as the S-Bahn announced in the morning. Actually, the trains should have left at night on Tuesday. Until when the disorder can be resolved, was initially unclear.

The line had been closed on schedule because of technical tests and acceptances, before the section of two to four tracks developed between Ostbahnhof and Ostkreuz goes into operation. Overall, there will be three more interruptions, including from 6 to 9 November on the lines S3 and S75 between Karlshorst and Ostkreuz and Erkner and Ostkreuz. (Dpa / bb)
