“Sinners, yes, corrupt never!”: the Pope’s Angelus on the Solemnity of Christ the King

Angelus

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
And she conceived of the Holy Ghost.
Ave Maria…

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
Be it done to me according to your word.
Ave Maria…

And the Word was made flesh.
And he dwelt among us.
Ave Maria…

Pray for us, holy mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

We pray.
We beseech thee, O Lord, Thy grace
pour into our minds;
so that, through the angel’s message, we know the incarnation of your Son Christ, through his passion and the cross, to lead us to the glory of the Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Glory to the Father… (three times)
Eternal rest…

Apostolic or Papal Blessing

Lord be with you and with your spirit.
May the name of Almighty God bless you
Pater, and Son, and Holy Spirit.

Amen.
