From the 5th to the 17th of February 2019 the Alpine World Ski Championships will be held in Are, Sweden. Favorites include US-American Mikaela Shiffrin, who has gold in all disciplines. Lindsey Vonn (USA) and Aksel Lund Svindal (Norway) will race for the last time. Among the German favorites is especially Viktoria Rebensburg.

The transmission of the Alpine Ski World Cup 2019 is characterized both euro Sport as well as the public channels ARD and ZDF responsible. The German alpine squad for the World Ski Championships 2019 in Are (Sweden)
Also German ski athletes are with the party. The German Ski Association has announced its squad ahead of the World Ski Championships. "We drive with a small but hopeful team to the Alpine World Championships in Are," said DSV alpine chief Wolfgang Maier. The team includes both young athletes as well as established athletes such as Viktoria Rebensburg or Felix Neureuther. The DSV squad:
