Hundreds of people have gone through the moment already this Saturday for the Congress Center for donate blood in the campaign of the Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community (CTCV) next to the Town Hall. Until 9:00 p.m., those interested can come to participate in this XV donation since the motto is clear: blood cannot be manufactured and is the key to the treatment, recovery and life of patients.
Already during the morning there was a great mobilization of neighbors interested in donating and it is that adding all the editions Elche accumulates 5,871 donations and 424 new donors have been able to attract.
music to soften
In this edition there has been the participation of the Conservatori Professional de Música d’Elx, who has entertained the donors with their music, and ASAFAN, which, as every year, offers details to all the people who have been approaching.
Carmen Llabata, responsible for promotion of the CTCV today encouraged the entire population to collaborate and pointed out that the only requirement is to be between 18 and 65 years old and present a good state of health, although the medical team previously conducts an interview on site.
A few days ago, Mabel Ortiz, head of the CTCV Service, highlighted that Elche continues to be a city that is very aware of blood donation “and shows it with its involvement and commitment in all the campaigns”.
Balance
Last year, the marathon had a participation of 441 people, achieving a new success of blood donations in the city. It already adds, in all its editions, a total of 5,871 donations and 424 first-time donors.
