A Somali man whose deportation from Britain was stopped by angry Heathrow passengers was said to have been a gang rapist who attacked a young girl.

But the process could take months, and Tory backbencher Philip Hollobone enthuses: "We have to deport these people and the public must not obstruct the right path of justice."
A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said: "All foreigners who are serving a term of imprisonment will be considered for deportation.
"Those who abuse our hospitality by committing crimes in the UK should have no doubt about our determination to deport them, and we have removed more than 43,000 foreign criminals since 2010."
