Sonneberg: AfD nominates Robert Stuhlmann as district administrator candidate

The AfD in Sonneberg sends Robert Stuhlmann into the election campaign for the post of district administrator. The 50-year-old lawyer was nominated by the members as a candidate on Saturday, said the AfD area association in Sonneberg. Stuhlmann has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament for the AfD since 2019.

Stuhlmann already started as a candidate in 2018

In 2018, Robert Stuhlmann had already started as a district administrator candidate and failed in the first ballot. He is not related to the former Sonneberg District Administrator Reiner Stuhlmann.

Martin Truckenbrodt from Seltendorf had recently applied as the first candidate. According to his own words, however, he only wants to run if there is broad support from parties and electoral groups. He does not want to run for the Ecological Democratic Party, for which he is otherwise active in the region.
