This Tuesday Sporting Cristal will face Flamengo for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores and, for its part, the team from Rima left for Brazil this Monday morning for the duel that could be their last chance to win the Copa Sudamericana.
“Let’s Fly!” reads the publication made through the social networks of the team led by Roberto Mosquera along with images of the players arriving at the Jorge Chávez airport on their way to Rio de Janeiro.
As it is recalled, Sporting Cristal has not been able to win in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores and would have to beat Flamengo and wait for the Universidad Católica de Chile to lose or tie their match in order to be third in their group and qualify for the South American Cup.
Sporting Cristal has two points in the group H standings from five games played so far in the international tournament. While in the local tournament he ranks fifth with 26 units in the standings.
The duel he will have against Flamengo is scheduled for this Tuesday, May 24, starting at 7:30 pm at the Maracaná stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
