Acting Director General of Electricity Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Dadan Kusdiana said the program budget was divided rice cooker value of IDR 300 billion has still not been approved by Ministry of Finance.
Dadan said this was one of the obstacles in the plan to distribute electric rice cookers (PNL) or rice cookers.
“Rp 300 billion has been procured, but until now there is no budget, the proposal is still being discussed at Commission VII DPR RI,” Dadan told reporters at the Mulia Senayan Hotel, Central Jakarta, quoted from detikfinanceTuesday (29/11).
Previously, the discourse on distributing rice cookers was first revealed in the Public Discussion Forum which was held last Friday (25/11). It turns out that this policy is still limited to discussion in Commission VII DPR RI and the budget has not yet been approved.
“This program is a form of electrification, not a rival program for induction cookers. But when asked about future preparations, until now the funding has not been clear, there has been no update apart from discussions at Commission VII,” said Dadan.
Dadan said that the rice cooker assistance recipients were poor people who needed it. The recipient will refer to data from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
“(Including 450 VA electricity customers) if the rice cooker doesn’t have too much electricity. So what is certain is that people who are suitable to receive it, not the rich,” he said.
Regarding the recipient target, Dadan said that this would adjust the approved budget by dividing it according to the rice cooker price package.
“(The target recipient) depends on the price of the rice cooker. The target recipient is definitely the community, for the people. We’ll just make sure how much the price of the rice cooker is, just divide it from the budget,” he added.
