St. Pölten art for the European Championship – football and diabolical money

by archyw

A few minutes before football and the ruble rolled into Rome at the European Championship, artist Josef Friedrich Sochurek presented his keen view of the major European event. The installation is called Money, Money. The soccer ball is enthroned over 60 fresh off the press green 100 euro notes, wrapped in 500s. A Mephisto bronze creeps all around as a symbol. “Money and power are now more important than the game itself,” said Sochurek, analyzing the business. He received support in the implementation of the Sparkasse NÖ Mitte West, for the reinforcement he thanked Norbert and Susanne Chovanec.

Exciting discussions before kick-off in Rome should follow. However, as Sochurek said, the evening suddenly ended with a collapse. Help was there, however. The artist was taken to hospital, but his condition is stable, according to the family.
