Starlink satellites get in the way of telescopes

There are 1,800 of them today, but there will be 3,000, 5,000, or even 10,000 by 2027. These space invaders are the satellites of the Starlink constellation. SpaceX’s major project is in the sights of astronomers who fear that this multitude of devices being deployed will ultimately pose a threat to the observation of the night sky.
