State Opera starts literary-musical advent calendar – WELT

An the State Opera in Hamburg, the foyer once again becomes a lively advent calendar. Until December 23rd, there should be a bit of culture as a Christmas surprise for the visitors – mostly in the afternoon, as the State Opera announced. There will be poems, stories, songs and dance. Short pieces will be presented by members of the opera ensemble, the International Opera Studio, the Hamburg Ballet, the National Youth Ballet, the Ballet School, the State Opera Choir, the Alsterspatzen, the Philharmonic State Orchestra and guests from Hamburg. The State Opera promises well-known, cheerful and contemplative Christmas classics, sometimes rather unknown as well as unusual and funny things.

In the past two years, the cultural Advent calendar program was only possible to a limited extent due to the corona. Corona rules no longer have to be observed this December. Pre-registrations are also not necessary. Donations to the Hamburger Tafel are requested. The State Opera also wants to announce what was hidden behind the doors on the theater blog and on social media.
