Steven Fletcher and Matt Phillips have been appointed to the Scottish squad for the last two Group League games against Albania and Israel.
Defender Charlie Mulgrew is also in, although he was injured recently.
Ryan Christie, Gary Mackay-Steven and the non-bowed Michael Devlin keep their seats after being called halfway through the Scots last doublehead.
Scotland visits Albania on 17 November and hosts Israel three days later.
Israel, who beat Scotland last month, are leading the group C first three points, but have played more than Scotland and Albania.
Head coach Alex McLeish has lost several key players, including strikers Steven Naismith and Leigh Griffiths, and defender John Souttar.
Sheffield Wednesday Fletcher, 31, played for Scotland 13 months ago and has scored nine goals in 31 appearances. He has scored three goals so far this season.
West Brom's 27-year-old Phillips won the Scottish March national victory in Scotland – his only international goal in 12 caps – and has already scored four goals this season for Baggies.
The other two strikers in McLeish's youngest squad, Oli McBurnie and Johnny Russell, have not scored for Scotland yet.
Mulgrew, 32, was eliminated 16 minutes into Blackburn's 1-1 draw with West Brom last month and failed to score with Rovers' victory against Queen Parker on Saturday.
Christie, who has made three appearances, has scored three goals in his last three games for Celtic, while Aberdeen's two-time attacker, Mackay-Steven, has scored five club goals this season. Devlin is partner of Scott McKenna in the center-back defense of the Dons.
