Aged in their twenties, the four men had arrived in France separately a few months ago, via Bulgaria where their asylum application had been registered as part of the Dublin procedure. According to this regulation, only one Member State is responsible for the request in the European Union. Hosted in several cities of the Grand Est, in homes managed by associations of aid to foreigners, they had been placed under house arrest by the prefecture.
