I welcome Dr. Mauril Gaudreault, president of the College of Physicians of Quebec. Dr. Gaudreault is a family physician and practiced in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. He has held several medico-administrative positions, including the title of associate dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sherbrooke, first head of the regional department of general medicine of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and head of the department of medicine General of the Chicoutimi Hospital. Since 2008, he has been a member of the team at the Collège des médecins du Québec, of which he has been president for four years. During the interview, we first talk about the role of the College, current issues related to medical practice and the distress of the medical profession. Next, Dr. Gaudreault shares his thoughts on his own career in family medicine and the future of this specialty.
