STRICTLY Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley has confessed that she swallowed her own illness when she suffered a painful dance injury earlier this week.
The TV favorite was hospitalized as she ripped off her intercostal muscle – and the agony caused her to physically vomit.
At a performance on It Takes Two on Friday night, Stacey, 31, said of her injury, "Last week, it knotted me, it was Tango bias, I think.
"The repetition and the effects of it, but I thought well, good, beautiful, and I just kept going.
"Then we did some training on Monday and I thought my muscles would go, then I crashed, I met Kev and I felt a tear, I thought," I'm going to throw up. "
"Do you know when you hit your head and it's so painful that you think you're going to throw up everywhere?
"We had choreographers there and I was embarrassed, so I swallowed my patients, I'm sorry, TMI."
Stacey insisted that she would give everything this evening – adding that she would not "go ahead" because of her illness.
She told host Zoe Ball, "I tore my intercostal muscle, I try not to cause any trouble.
"I do not hold back, I feel like nobody wants a sobbing story or marrying Margaret, I'm just going to go there and do my best, what will happen?"
It was already known that Stacey and her professional dance partner Kevin Clifton had to change their routine nearly a dozen times after injuring her.
Stacey missed two trial days after the rupture and the star had commented on a photo of himself in a hospital bed earlier this week because of fans.
However, she quickly assured the fans that she was planning to get fit for the live show and thanked the "amazing" hospital staff for her care.
