For the second night in a row, there is fierce protests in Italy. In recent days, hundreds of people have taken to the streets to protest against the tightened corona measures. The protest that started in Naples, where mainly catering operators expressed their dissatisfaction, spread to the capital Rome. There, about 250 protesters took to the streets, after an appeal from the far-right party Forza Nuova, who see Conte’s measures as a violation of the constitution.
Italy is tightening its measures against the corona virus, after the announcement of a new record of infections on a daily basis. A record number of new infections was found yesterday, 19,644 people became infected with covid-19. Cinemas, theaters, gyms and swimming pools will have to close. The services of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte have announced this. Bars and restaurants may remain open until 6 pm.
