Strong storms and other heat will hit the Czechia, meteorologists warned

The high temperature warning applies to the Prague, Plzeň, South Moravian and Zlín regions, as well as to parts of the Liberec and Central Bohemian regions until Monday 8 pm.

On Monday for most areas, except for parts of the South Moravian, Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian regions, a warning against strong storms, which may be accompanied by torrential rains with totals of up to 40 millimeters, also applies.

Tuesday warning of heavy thunderstorms, again accompanied by torrential rains, is valid for the Ústí nad Labem, Karlovy Vary, Plzeň, South Bohemian, South Moravian and Zlín regions. Thunderstorms are also expected to occur in the southwestern parts of the Central Bohemian Region and in the Vysočina region. They will be in danger from noon until midnight.

Due to high temperatures and the risk of overheating, doctors recommend limiting physical activity and staying in direct sunlight. It is also important to follow a drinking regimen.
