Suffolk officials confirm 1st measles case for adults in the county

HAMPTON BAYS –

Suffolk's health officials have confirmed the first case of measles by adults in the county.

The district health department says that the person who has fallen ill recently arrived from outside the United States and that the case does not appear to be related to the nationwide outbreak.

Officials warn that anyone who visited BNB Bank on 48 East Montauk Highway at Hampton Bays may have been suspended from about 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 20.

Anyone who has gone to the bank at this time will be asked to contact the Suffolk Department of Health Services 631-854-0333,
