As reported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, after a series of agreements with the governors of various provinces, there are already several that announced that in the face of the next summer vacation 2021 They will not ask travelers to comply with days of isolation or quarantine or present a previous test for coronavirus with a negative result.

One of them is the province of Buenos Aires, with the attractiveness of the beaches of the Atlantic Coast, which launched the season a month ago and, among other issues, it was agreed that neither test nor quarantine would be a requirement, although it would be certified to circulate. and enter the chosen destination.

Others that have already confirmed that they will not ask for a test or isolation when they open to national tourism are Córdoba, Río Negro, Mendoza, Salta, Jujuy, Neuquén, Chubut and Entre Ríos.

What about the rest of the country? Many destinations are still defining when to allow the entry of travelers from other provinces and what to ask for based on the epidemiological situation of the place.

In Santa Cruz, already in November they began with some experiences of internal tourism. From November 20 to 30, the inhabitants of Río Gallegos will be able to visit El Calafate(Basis for knowing the Perito Moreno glacier, within the Los Glaciares National Park. In Tierra del Fuego has not yet defined when the season will open for tourists from all over the country and what will be requested. Santiago del Estero will enable from December 4 the development of tourist activity in its territory within the framework of a “gradual process”. Regarding the official protocols, in the first instance, the tourist must make a reservation in an authorized accommodation, from there they will be registered in the “Circulando” system, being able to access the province as a tourist.

At the same time, tourists must have personal Covid-19 health insurance provided by an insurance company; and Caring application installed on your cell phone. To enter the province they must not present symptoms compatible with the coronavirus and body temperature will be controlled.

La Pampa only allows entry to essential workers or residents of the province. Those who do not reside in the province can enter for 72 hours; If they do it for a longer time, prior to the restart of their activity, visitors must comply with the preventive and mandatory sanitary isolation of 14 days in one of the enabled hotels (taking charge of the expenses). It was not announced if there will be modifications for the summer season.


Catamarca is currently requesting a negative PCR and, depending on the length of stay, also quarantine.

Finally, Formosa is another of the provinces that remains “armored”, with almost no entry and exit of people, both with other Argentine provinces and with Paraguay.
