Plus, 2019 Amiibo details and more!

After its important update 2.0 last month, Nintendo announced today that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a major update 3.0 sometime in the spring. Nintendo also revealed the release window for its first paid DLC character Joker from Persona 5 and the new Smash Bros. Amiibo.
No specific information was provided on what the 3.0 update will contain, but the 2.0 patch brought numerous adjustments to the balance in January and also added the Piranha Plant DLC fighter.
Speaking of DLC fighters, we've finally gotten the first look at Joker since its revelation last year, though it was extremely short. We assume that the in-game model for Joker was shown against a simple black background. However, no actual moves or moves were displayed.
It has also been announced that Joker will be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in addition to his level and new music in the first paid DLC Challenger Pack before the end of April. It is unclear whether this is related to Update 3.0 because Piranha Plant was 2.0, but Nintendo said that more information would come later.
Finally, Nintendo took a look at five new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo that will be released in 2019: Snake, Simon, Squirtle, Pokemon Trainer and Ivysaur.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was the best-selling game last December, although the addition of Piranha Plant resulted in an unfortunate glitch that led to some corrupt savings. Hopefully that will not happen at Joker's arrival.
