Suspected Kurdish PKK member arrested

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has arrested a suspected member of the banned Kurdish Workers’ Party PKK. On behalf of the PKK, the Turk had organized propaganda events and meetings for so-called PKK regions and PKK areas – including in the PKK area of ​​Hamburg and in the PKK region of Hamburg, which consists of the areas of Hamburg, Bremen and Kiel, as well as in the PKK Cologne area and the North Rhine PKK region consisting of the areas of Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Duisburg and Essen. Specifically, according to the highest German prosecuting authority on Tuesday, he is accused of having worked as a so-called full-time manager of the PKK since 2018. He was also responsible for collecting donations.

According to the information, the man was arrested at Frankfurt Airport last Friday. He was previously in custody in Cyprus, but had been extradited to Germany from there. He is in custody.
